Meghan picked up Michelle to take her to the Dave Matthews concert.

I did laundry, dishes, cleaned the bathroom, and other assorted straightening. I got a bag of trash from the basement and found more items to donate.
Michelle bought me dinner at El Rodeo. I have terrible spelling. I had 2 hard beef tacos, chips and guacamole, a beef enchilada, and a chile con queso with raspberry iced tea. Everything was perfect. A random other waiter kept bringing another tables items to us, which grew funnier the more that it happened. There was also a bit of confusion at the register when some lady was trying to give the cashier her phone #. I don't think she could understand that he was not interested in having it.
I did manage to make it to Salvation Army and purchased quite a bit of books for about $11. Here is the list:
HG Wells - The Time Machine
L Frank Baum - The Road to OZ
L Frank Baum - Ozma of OZ
Frances Hodgson Burnett - The Secret Garden
Virginia Wolf - The Pargiters
The Laurel Poetry Series 3 books with works by Dryden, Shelley, Wordsworth
Charles Dickens - A Tale of Two Cities
William Shakespeare - Twelfth Night
David Balsinger and Charles E Sellier Jr - The Lincoln Conspiracy
Mark Twain - Tom Sawyer
Louisa May Alcott - Little Men
Taylor Caldwell - This Side of Innocence
Not a bad list at all. I'm so addicted to books it's not even funny. I am going to need so many shelves.
Friday Will will be here!!! Yes, I'm giddy happy excited. I cannot wait. I miss him too much. I need to get this house sold so I can move. Not to mention that I'm dreadfully bored living here. And it's also annoying to be living in a house that has so many empty and unused rooms. I think we are going to mainly be staying in and be selfish with our time on this visit.
Michelle is going to see Dave Matthews Band tomorrow and she is all hyped up to go. She will be going with Meghan which is good as I have no interest in seeing that band at all. But that means more time for video games! But I also have to go to bed early because of work Thursday. Blargh. As I told Michelle, I don't miss working, I just miss the paychecks.
Off to bed, so I can get up early and finish the cleaning.

I didn't blog yesterday and I also debated about it again today. I really haven't done anything noteworthy.
Yesterday I did manage to get out a bag of trash and a box of Good Will stuff from the basement.
Today I went to the grocery store. Can you feel the excitement?
Tomorrow I think I really will be doing some big cleaning because I am back to work on Thursday. That way Wednesday can be solely and completely devoted to playing more Final Fantasy XII. I'm such a nerd.
I'm also thinking of going out tomorrow to Salvation Army to see if there are any interesting clothes and books. I'm feeling a little stir crazy being in the house.

Michelle seems to be doing a little better. She made breakfast with potatoes with fresh basil in them. That is the highlight of today.
I watched Peter Pan which is one of my favorite movies. We also watched some Lost online. But it keeps freezing and is surely contributing to the head pains and annoyance.
I'm going to bed to try to see if I can make Headache go away.

I got a call from the agency today. My new job is now starting on next Thursday instead of Monday. Bites! That means it will now be 3 weeks until I get a full weeks pay instead of 2 weeks. I am officially broke. Bad. Whatev, the Universe will still provide for me as I need. Need vs. Want. There is a big difference.
The roofers stopped by unexpectedly. According to them there was some odd alien rubber piece in the drain pipe stopping it up. So the water could not go down. Since it could not go down it was running along the building, into the masonry and then that was pulling it into the house over the bay window in the dining room. He says it is all fixed and that it will rain in the dining room no longer. Now if the Finishing Touch guy ever gets back to me with the estimate from last Friday I could get this work started. I think after all this I will finally be able to show the house.Michelle is still feeling the same as yesterday. The new pills are helping but not to the point were she is not feeling pain.
I'm going to head on to dreamland soon so I can get up early tomorrow and try to clean out some more of the basement. I am determined to get more things done in a day. More projects, not just the cleaning.

I woke up this morning to a call from my Will. Not a bad way to wake up at all. I miss him so much, but I'm lucky that he is coming to visit next weekend. Hopefully the time will fly by with the chaos of starting a new job.
I stumbled out of bed and set up the coffee. Then I threw on some shoes and hopped in my car. I've had a insane craving for asiago bagels from Panera Bread. Luckily at 11 am there was no line. I picked up some everything and french toast bagels too.
Then started my day of cleaning and bill paying with generous doses of slacking mixed in. I also had to run out to the pharmacy with Michelle again for a new prescription. It seems to be working better than what she had been given yesterday.
Tomorrow I will be doing some more cleaning because it seems to be a never ending process here. I'll try to do less slacking though.
I think I'll probably end my night by curling up with Jack of Fables TPB #1.

It seems that everyone is moving away from Live Journal these days and moving over to here. I haven't done much of a journal in about a year now. Most of my blogging has been done to my MySpace page.
Not much of significance has been happening in my little corner of the universe in some time. I have not worked for a month. It's been incredibly freeing, but also a slight hardship as far as finances are concerned. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I start a new temp job on Monday for an advertising firm. I believe I will be doing administrative work but the description was very vague at best. The pay is a bit lower than what I find comfortable, but it is the only job that is available to me. Hopefully I will be having the house sold and moving on to new adventures before too long.
Work is again progressing slowly on the house. I have managed to have the plumbing finally repaired, but have not yet received the promised estimates for the bathroom and ceilings. I fear I may need to start scraping the paint from the back deck myself this weekend without Michelle's help. I dread work outside but must do what I have to move these projects along. I will be focusing on some issues inside of the house over the next few days.
Michelle has become injured as of Saturday. She seems to have possibly slipped a disk in her back. The cause is unknown. I have spent some time taking her to the emergency room, doctors office, and pharmacy. We decided to also mix it up a bit and go to the DMV to get her license as we have not been sitting in waiting rooms enough lately. I hope that she recovers soon because it pains me to see her suffering so and to not be able to do anything to help her.
Sachi and the cats are all doing well. I also am well, except for a constant fatigue that seems to have settled on me. I am guessing it is due to stress from the past few weeks. I wish it would pass as this is a time of action and I am not feeling entirely up to the challenge.
I watched Premonition tonight. The movie was enjoyable to watch, it held my interest for the most part. I did not like the ending. I have found that to often be the case lately. Endings are just not fulfilling to me, the way they are being written. Perhaps I am looking for something that Hollywood is just not providing to me.
I am also becoming more and more upset with the rash of defective imported products. Recent news has brought us an onslaught of imports from China that are harming us. Pet food, Colgate toothpaste, Fisher-Price toys, and pollen that is killing our honey bees. I wonder though, why does it seem all this is coming from China? I know that China is not overly found of us, but would the knowingly do this? Would our government be just placing the blame on them? It is hard to say, you can never trust what the news tells you anymore. I still and always will feel greatly that we need to bring manufacturing back here. Not only for the safety of the products, but for the jobs. I feel it is so wrong for our jobs to be sent away. It is causing such a downward spiral in this country. I wish businesses would be forced to stop outsourcing. But because of bottom lines and all that it will never happen.
